History

The Me and My Big Time Buddies Band was formed in 2006 by friends PeePee and Jared Mallerd. The two had been playing music together for many years and decided to form a band with their friends Jonathan and Chris Byrd. The band quickly began playing shows around Atlanta and quickly gained a following. In 2008, the band released their self-titled debut album. The album was well-received and led to the band playing shows all over the Southeast. In 2009, the band released their second album, "The Big Time." The album was even more successful than the first and led to the band touring the country. The band's third album, "Buckit," was released in 2010. The album was a departure from the band's previous sound and featured a more psychedelic and experimental sound. The album was well-received by critics and led to the band touring Europe. The band is currently working on their fourth album, which is set to be released in 2019.

Christmas 2013 Disaster

During a live show on December 12, 2013 at The Masquerade in Atlanta, GA, the Me and My Big Time Buddies Band's drum kit, amps, and various other equipment caught on fire due to a faulty power strip. The fire quickly spread and destroyed the entire stage. No one was injured in the fire, but the band's equipment was destroyed. The band was able to continue playing the show after borrowing equipment from other bands that were playing at the venue. The fire continued through the band's set and was eventually put out by actor Woody Harrelson who was in town shooting for the 2014 film The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 and at the show that night.
