History

Pumpkinano's was opened in 1925 by Giovanni Pumpkinano. Giovanni was an Italian immigrant who came to Porsonville in search of a better life. He started out as a simple street vendor, selling pumpkin pies and other fall treats. He eventually saved up enough money to open his own restaurant, and Pumpkinano's was born.

In the 1960s, Pumpkinano's was the target of aggressive extortion techniques by the Borbingo Crime Family. The restaurant nearly closed its doors over a dozen times between 1960 and 1985 due to not being able to turn a profit, often times paying the Borbingos upwards of ninety percent of their profits.

1984 Kitchen Staff Murders

On February 12th, 1984 at 9:00am, the kitchen staff at Pumpkinano's was preparing for the restaurants lunch rush when three men stormed into the back of the building and fired over 800 shots into the staff. All 58 members of the Pumpkinano's kitchen staff were killed. It is widely believed that the murders were organized and perpetrated by the Borbingo Family in retaliation for receiving their extortion money one day late - an amount of money that was later revealed to be $78.63. The murders have still not been solved and the Borbingo Family has never been officially tied to the crime.

The Borbingo's officially have accused Ramm Adam, the bus boy employed at Pumpkinano's during the massacre. Ramm Adam is the nephew of Paul Stoffer Adam, the accused killer of Larry.
