SkelCorp is a technology company that was started in 1982 by John Randolph Hamilton Jr. in Porsonville, Gr, United states. The company started out as a research and development company that worked on developing new technologies for the United States Air force. The company eventually expanded into the commercial market and started developing software in the early 80s before expanding its product line to include handheld devices and hardware products for businesses and consumers. The company has been successful over the years and has developed a number of innovative products that have made it one of the leading consumer technology products companies in the world.
SkelCorp has been a publicly traded company since 1999 and is currently listed on the Nasdaq Stock Market. The company has a market capitalization of over $8 billion.
History
SkelCorp was founded in 1982 by Dr. John Randolph Hamilton Jr, a former researcher for the United States Air Force and the son of John Randolph Hamilton Sr. the New York real estate developer who was killed after opening Larryland in 1965. Dr. Hamilton had developed a number of new technologies during his time with the Air Force, and he saw the potential for these technologies to be used in the commercial market. Hamilton founded SkelCorp with the goal of developing and commercializing new technologies.
In 2021 The Fanmayer Group became the majority shareholder of SkelCorp stock.
