History
Background
The Band was formed in 1950, and is based around the number ten. The number ten and "The Specials of Ten" are central to the musical approach of The Band's members. Their music focuses on Realmer philosophy and the weekly SRL! broadcast with songs like "I Wish The Show Was Every Night."
Their 2023 debut album 50! was named in honor of Episode 50 as well as the non-SRL! Calendar year of their initial formation, 1950. Doug Bleichner is an alumni of The Verchwörer Institute of Art and has been previously involved with various music projects such as Meat.
A description of The Band from The Band's "About" section of their Spotify profile:
Skeleton Realm LIVE! Band’s story is extremely unique and interesting. The Band has a unique perspective on life and has a unique background. They also have a unique sound which is indicative of a varied musical background. They also have eclectic inspirations and have been influenced by many different styles and artists. They come from a small town but are now is a large city and are unique in that regard. The band used to play small shows and now they play really big ones and are considered interesting, talented, and cool by music writers and critics who have called them “Awesome,” with a “Great Sound” and “Unique.” The Band wears clothing items that are unique and interesting while at the same time signaling a certain type of artistic aesthetic and swagger that shows the fans and critics they are interesting, cool, but most importantly very unique. The Band and Fecal Spring/Skeleton Realm Records have both expressed many times that the band’s clothing fashion style is central to their sound. The clothing shows that the band isn’t bad, they are unique. The Band releases a new album every 10 weeks.[1]

1950-present
Throughout the late 20th century The Band released dozens of rare singles, EPs, albums, and "mixtapes" that have largely been lost to time or removed from circulation by government censors concerned with their content. Hardcore Realmer fans and "gatekeepers" of The Band have restored and documented the damaged remains of some of these early releases, and trade bootlegs through underground networks and obscure online forums. Fans around the world rejoiced when they reunited once again in 2023 and released new material.
Legacy
Many very important critics have said that The Band's impact on the music industry and culture in general is so global and epic that it's almost immeasurable. They have sold an incredible amount of t-shirts with their logo on it, and many physical and digital copies of their music to match.
Although many music historians have credited the more commercially successful English music group The Beatles with popularizing the form of the modern "rock band," in recent decades many historians have argued that The Band's early years touring through small venues in the U.S., Canada, and U.K. were foundational to modern music culture in a way that the industry ignored for a variety of reasons. The Band's career has been the subject of numerous popular documentaries and books, and continues to influence young musicians, artists, and "Brand Thought Leaders."
Controversy
None so far, aside from Haters and issues with censorship, especially songs like "I'm A Dirty Gorbus" from their debut album 50!.
