A Realmer, shortened from "Skeleton Realmer" is an individual who subscribes to the "Skeleton Realm Lifestyle" as set forth by Skeleton Realm, a multinational think tank and global thought consortium.

History

Groovy Dude Ellen says "hi realmers"

The first instance of the term "Realmer" was in the Skeleton Realm discord channel when Realmer Groovy Dude Ellen said "hi realmers" in the general chat. The term "Realmer" became adopted in Episode 26 of Skeleton Realm LIVE! when Realmer Brewski called into the show to say hello to his fellow Realmers.[1]

The group started out as a small community of people who shared a common interest in Skeleton Realm. Over the years, the group has grown and now includes members from all over the world, who come together to share stories, discuss topics, and provide support to one another.

The group has also developed its own set of traditions and rules. The group is also known for its support and friendship. Members are often quick to offer help to one another, and they take great pride in the fact that they can rely on each other no matter what.

Realmers have become a symbol of success in the online world. Members of the group have achieved a great deal of success in their respective fields, from entrepreneurs to writers to developers. In this way, the group serves as an inspiration for others to strive for success in their own chosen paths.

Notably, a similar but less common term for fans of Skeleton Realm has also emerged in 2023, which was first used by a non-Pater known as "sulffffffur" on the Discord server: Boners (NOT in a dirty way, in a skeleton style).[2]

Notable events

In Episode 52, Realmer Body Stats decreased an incredible 923,334%, which was later revealed to be a result of Tiny Jack skewing the statistics.[3] Only two episodes later in Episode 54 it was revealed that the three first HARDCORE ELITE MANIACS initiated, including bofa deez and trashimage, had once again skewed Realmer Body States by becoming the mass of 20 people each.[4]

In Episode 63, it was revealed that some radical Realmers had splintered into armed Realmer factions and were fighting over the terms of the 1986 treaty, among other things. Skeleton Realm founders Doug Bleichner and Sam Wagstaff remain committed to peace, and have issued 'stand down' orders to all factions, including their own loyalist armies and their brigade of robot soldiers.[5]

Realmer cultural development

In the process of doing anthropological research into their own community, Bleichner and Wagstaff discovered in Episode 64 that "Realmer culture is flourishing" after going through various natural disasters, population fluctuations, and conflicts. Now with a stable climate and agricultural surplus product, YouTube chatters have begun constructing detailed and realistic monuments to Gab, the "celebrated chat 'spirit.'"

Discord chatters (specifically the wealthier Paters, and not white names) have also begun establishing the foundations of a system of mathematics, which started with bartering and basic counting using their hands and has now moved into advanced algebra and formal logic. Paters are also creating pottery adorned with intricate designs, beyond the rudimentary gorb form, and Bleichner predicts the artfully decorated containers could be used as chamber pots (which are pre-plumbing portable poop-toilets "meant for nocturnal use in the bedroom" [6] ) as early as Episode 65. In addition, the research revealed that the famous Realmer Linman had developed his own Streamer's Hunchback.[7]

Skeleton Realm Lifestyle

Core tenets of the Skeleton Realm Lifestyle include being respectful and kind to others, while still having a good time and enjoying "hardcore humor." It means taking the time to appreciate the people in your life and the world around you, and doing things that bring you joy and make you smile while also enjoying "hardcore humor".

Scientists believe it could mean spending time with friends and family, exploring new places, going for a walk, or just taking a few moments to relax and appreciate the beauty of the world. It also means being mindful of how your words and actions might affect others, and being mindful of the impact of your decisions on those around you.

Rejection of Severely Normal Mentation

Realmers pride themselves in rejecting what co-founder Doug Bleichner has coined "Severely Normal Mentation" or SNM, which are "thought patterns common to severely normal people." A person suffering with SNM uses various common, usually trending words, phrases and patterns of thought in their day to day social niceties. Bleichner believes that SNM has traditionally manifested most powerfully in generational patterns of humor.

Bleichner has stated that "...humor which has been informed by large scale intersections of severely normal sensibilities and thought patterns is the key manifestation of severely normal individual's imprint on culture. The humor presented to us by this culmination of millions of SNM sufferers is the most highly condensed and viewable form of SNM, and so it is plainly available for study and critique. Humor is the point at which the contact between the severely normal and the Realmer is able to take place."

Realmers reject SNM and embrace a new type of thinking, one that involves drawing from core human emotions that are inherently unique to each individual. In this way, being a Realmer means embracing one's own unique personality and "thought profile," while finding a way to share and convey one's own inner thoughts and feelings with the larger Realmer community.
