Skeleton Realm LIVE! Band
The Skeleton Realm LIVE! Band, or simply "The Band," is an American band formed in Atlanta, Georgia, which includes the members Doug Bleichner, Dana "Dana the chat mod," Mr. Drums, and others. They are currently signed to Fecal Spring Records (formerly known as Skeleton Realm Records).
They are the house band of Skeleton Realm LIVE! and release a new album every 10 weeks, in accordance with the SRL! Calendar and in celebration of "The Special of Ten" episodes. Their music can be easily streamed and enjoyed on Spotify and YouTube.
History
Background
The Band was formed in 1950, and is based around the numbers ten and five. The number ten and "The Specials of Ten" are central to the musical approach of The Band's members, as well as the number five. Their music focuses on Realmer-related topics and the weekly SRL! broadcast, with songs like "I Wish The Show Was Every Night." Their music has been described as drawing from genres such as rock, pop, soul, funk, hip-hop, rap, hardcore, epic, experimental, rhythm and blues, and electronic music among others.
Current member Doug Bleichner is an alumni of The Verchwörer Institute of Art and has been previously involved with various music projects such as Meat. Dana "Dana the chat mod" is a graduate of the University of Canine Studies as well where she specialized in Dog Viewing.

1950-present
Their 2023 debut album 50! was named in honor of Episode 50 as well as the non-SRL! Calendar year of their initial formation, 1950. Past members include Pip Dixon of the Mississippi Delta Boys, PeePee Mallerd of The Me and My big Time Buddies Band, and Lil StankBug, as well as hundreds of other affiliated artists that have gone uncredited.
Throughout the late 20th century The Band released dozens of rare singles, EPs, albums, and "mixtapes" that have largely been lost to time or removed from circulation by government censors concerned with their content. Hardcore Realmer fans and "gatekeepers" of The Band have restored and documented the damaged remains of some of these early releases, and trade bootlegs through underground networks and obscure online forums. Fans around the world rejoiced when they reunited once again in 2023 and released new material.
Legacy
Many very important critics have said that The Band's impact on the music industry and culture in general is so global and epic that it's almost immeasurable. They have sold an incredible amount of t-shirts with their logo on it, and many physical and digital copies of their music to match.
Although many music historians have credited the more commercially successful English music group The Beatles with popularizing the form of the modern "rock band," in recent decades many historians have argued that The Band's early years touring through small venues in the U.S., Canada, and U.K. were foundational to modern music culture in a way that the industry ignored for a variety of reasons. The Band's career has been the subject of numerous popular documentaries and books, and continues to influence young musicians, artists, and "Brand Thought Leaders."
